KPS Middle School students have the opportunity to sign up for elective courses. These electives are possible offerings and are NOT guaranteed. Offerings will be based on funding, required certification, and the discretion of the school. Please note that requests are not guaranteed, are based on availability, and are limited to class size. For the 2026-2027 school year, students will be placed in advanced, standard, and/or high school level classes by their counselor based on a variety of data provided by Orange County Public Schools.  Some of these data points include two-year previous FSA/FAST performance, middle school GPA, and academic history. Any student who scores a Level 1 or 2 on the FAST Reading and/or Math may be scheduled in a year-long literacy course and/or Intensive Math class in place of an elective.
